Privacy policy
This policy explains what RoamWhim processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to visitors.
Information processed when you browse
The hosting platform may process routine request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. RoamWhim also uses Travelpayouts Drive for affiliate monetization. Drive may process page content, links, device or browser signals, and interaction events to operate and measure its affiliate tools.
Search information
Search criteria can include departure airport, dates, traveller count, budget, stop limit, journey duration, and trip preferences. Search criteria may be shared with services used to retrieve matching travel options.
Accounts, saved trips, and alerts
If you create an account or use saved trips and alerts, the service may store an email address, session identifier, saved search criteria, saved trip records, alert settings, and delivery history. Account data can be deleted from the account area when those features are used.
Email subscriptions
Newsletter subscriptions use an explicit single opt-in. A subscriber enters an email address, checks the consent box, and submits the form. RoamWhim stores the address, subscription status, unsubscribe record, source, and consent timestamp in its application database. Resend processes the address and email-delivery events when sending welcome or newsletter messages. Hashed request and email signals are retained briefly to limit automated subscription abuse. Subscribers can unsubscribe through the link provided in an email.
Cookies and local storage
The random trip tool uses session storage to restore a search on the same browser. Authentication cookies are used for account sign-in. Travelpayouts Drive may use cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies to provide link switching, tool preferences, measurement, fraud prevention, and service diagnostics.
Optional Google Analytics
RoamWhim has its own Google Analytics 4 property. Analytics does not load until a visitor selects Allow analytics, and Global Privacy Control keeps it off. When allowed, it receives a query-free page path, page title, referrer origin, and ordinary device or browser information. Search criteria and email fields are excluded. The Analytics choices button reopens this choice. This choice controls Google Analytics only and does not control Travelpayouts Drive.
Service providers and booking partners
RoamWhim uses infrastructure and content-management providers to host the application and its editorial content. Travelpayouts may convert eligible travel links into affiliate links or add contextual affiliate tools. Travelpayouts and a booking partner receive information under their own privacy policies when a visitor interacts with or follows a partner link. RoamWhim does not collect payment-card or passport data.
Retention and security
Operational logs are retained according to hosting and security needs. Account records, if enabled, are retained until deletion or until they are no longer needed for the requested feature. Reasonable technical controls reduce risk, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
